Lisa Vanderpump has always been known to be an animal lover. Aside from owning seven dogs herself (and longing for another twenty,) Lisa has now taken her love for dogs a step further and created her own pet line called Vanderpump Pets.
Lisa argues that while many products from other lines do the job, they are not always necessarily particularly pretty to look at. Being an aesthetic person, it was important to her to create products for her own line that are not only visually beautiful but also “affordable [and] great quality.” The line has grown quickly and now features 185 pieces including leashes made from pearls, pet carriers and collars with rhinestones.
In this interview, Lisa also expresses her deep desire to help dogs around the world. Most recently, she has been working towards finding a way to stop the cruel Yulin Dog Meat Festival, where dogs are skinned alive, slaughtered and eaten. Lisa is asking for everyone’s help to ensure that this particularly disgusting festival of animal cruelty will no longer be “celebrated.”
