“Southlanders looking to get their scare on for Halloween have several sites they can visit this season.
One spot is The Old Joliet Haunted Prison, which Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group presents from Sept. 23 to Nov. 4.
“We’ve been making haunted houses and huge, bombastic haunted attractions for a very long time,” said Bryan Kopp, market manager for Thirteenth Floor Entertainment Group, which is headquartered in Denver.
According to Kopp, The Old Joliet Haunted Prison being in the former women’s prison or the prison annex, which was built in the late 1800s across the street from the main building of the Joliet Correctional Center, lends to the site’s ambience….”
