It’s official, Cirque du Soleil is making its highly-anticipated return to Los Angeles with one of their most enchanting productions, CORTEO.

This unique spectacle, directed by Daniele Finzi Pasca, has amazed over 10 million spectators, in 20 countries, on 4 continents. Corteo will be presented at the Microsoft Theater as the second show to premiere on behalf of Cirque du Soleil’s partnership with the Los Angeles venue. The set curtains, inspired by the Eiffel Tower, and the central curtains, which were hand-painted, give a grandiose feel to the stage. This sets the tone for the poetry of Corteo.

I went to House of Spirits in 2019 based on another writer’s very positive review. Sure enough, it was a great event, with several delicious drinks and a fun atmosphere. Best of all was the variety of spooky entertainment, including a puppet show, creepy dance performance, and a quest/game. Each of these were optional and could be done whenever you felt like it–or not at all if you just wanted to enjoy the drinks and atmosphere. That was 3 years ago, with a pandemic taking up most of it, so I was curious how House of Spirits had evolved.

Multiple Outlets – Cirque du Soleil Returns to Los Angeles with ‘CORTEO’

Cirque du Soleil is coming to Los Angeles with their latest show, “Corteo.”

“The clown Mauro has passed, but his spirit is still with us. Instead of mourning, the funeral cortege celebrates the here and hereafter with laughter and exuberance,” is how the show is described on Cirque’s website.

The show is coming to the Microsoft Theater on March 23, 2023 and is there until April 30, 2023. Tickets go on sale Monday, October 24th at cirquedusoleil.com/corteo and you can head to KTLA 5 for more.
