Aaron Carter compares his song writing style to Taylor Swift

| January 11, 2018

Is Aaron Carter the male version of Taylor Swift? The singer spoke to Us Weekly exclusively about his new music and compared himself to the “Gorgeous” crooner.

“Turning 30, you know I have goals and aspirations. All of those require my attention for music and I’m telling you man, I live in a studio,” Carter told Us in the new issue. “It’s the safest place for me, and very therapeutic. I mean, I recorded ‘Don’t Say Goodbye,’ the vocals here for my single in this actual room. I mean, sometimes I’ll just get the urge just to write music, but the thing about me that’s weird is I’m kind of like a Taylor Swift but not really.”

Another excellent review by Bridget Campos of Rockwell LA’s UMPO Home Alone

| December 27, 2017

If you have yet to hear of the movie where a bratty eight-year-old is left home alone to fend for himself, while having to take on two bumbling burglars, then you need to add Home Alone  to the rotation of past time Christmas films to watch during the holidays.

Filled with many memorable one-liners and hilarious scenes, this 1990 classic is written and produced by none other than the late John Hughes. Not only is Home Alone  considered to be the number one-grossing box office-holiday-film of all time, it also launched the then unknown Macaulay Culkin’s movie career; and he was reportedly paid $4.5 million for 1992 sequel, Home Alone 2: Lost in NewYork, making him the highest paid child actor during that time.

Thank you Broadway World for a great review of Rockwell LA’s UMPO Home Alone

| December 20, 2017

UMPO HOME ALONE/written by Ray Wetmore & Kate Pazakis/directed by Marty Thomas/musical direction by Gregory Nabours/Rockwell Table & Stage/thru December 30, 2017

Kate Pazakis and her talented creative team once again incorporate their ‘secret sauce’ in concocting a most delicious holiday treat for Rockwell revelers – THE UNAUTHORIZED MUSICAL PARODY OF HOME ALONE. The 1990 John Hughes classic Home Alone receives Pazakis’ UMPO treatment, resulting in a most side-splitting production with their clever choice of pop songs, re-worded to ‘fit’ the Home Alone narrative, and boosted by the always witty (and subtly topical) dialogue of Ray Wetmore and Pazakis. Marty Thomas nimbly directs and wonderfully stages this two act, non-stop laughfest with just enough time for the howling and applauding audience to twist their heads front from watching all the surround-sound action in all the nooks and crannies of the Rockwell Table & Stage.
