Great feature in Daily Camera of Feyline Presents’ first New Year’s Eve concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater

Red Rocks Amphitheater has seen history in the making — from a Beatles performance in the band’s prime to multiple famed live album recordings to the introduction of its own nationally coveted venue award, called the Red Rocks Award. Soon the long-running venue will reach another milestone: a celebration to ring in the New Year.

The red-rocked promised land in Morrison is hosting its first-ever New Years Eve concert on Dec. 31. The event is called New Years Eve on the Rocks, and it ushers in hip-hop fans from far and wide. Headliners will include rap-trio Migos, Atlanta-based rapper Young Thug and billboard-breaking artist Post Malone, with special guests such as Lil Yachty and Dizzy Wright making appearances, among others.

Internet entrepreneur John Crestani wants to inspire University of Colorado students to solve “big, hairy, audacious problems.”

“Instead of finding out how to create a business that has incremental value like creating a better hot dog stand or creating something where you can make a lot of money selling a product 10 percent cheaper than the competition, we’re in a time where we have all the resources available to solve really big problems that are in front of society right now,” Crestani said.

CU students intrigued by Crestani’s proposition can find him sharing this sentiment and more at 6 p.m. Tuesday on campus in Humanities 150. The talk is free and open to the public.

Ooos, ahhhs, and thunderous applause is likely to fill the Fred Kavli Theater in Thousand Oaks, when the Champions of Magic unveil a myriad of spectacular illusions on Fri. Nov. 10, at 7:30 p.m.

Across the pond, the Champions of Magic have been performing to packed houses in London’s West End for the past four years. Now they are touring the United States, and Thousand Oaks is just one stop on a tour that is covering over 30 cities across the country.

Alex Jarrett, the producer of the Champions of Magic, said that he hopes people will leave the show feeling good and wondering how the illusions were accomplished, and leave the audience with lasting memories.

 

Great Broadway World feature of Feyline Presents’ first New Year’s Eve concert at Red Rocks Amphitheater

Resurrecting a famed moniker and bringing the first ever New Year’s Eve concert to the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater, is none other than Feyline the entity once helmed by legendary concert promoter Barry Fey.

One of music’s memorable figures, Tyler’s father started the Summer of Stars concert series at Red Rocks Amphitheater. In 1983, Fey, Chris Blackwell and U2 produced the U2 Live at Red Rocks: Under a Blood Red Sky concert film recorded live at the Red Rocks Ampitheatre.
