Oscars 2015: Steal Some Tips from Elton John’s Soirée

An Oscar night fixture for the last decade, the annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party is considered one of the hottest invitations in Hollywood, attracting celebrities from Kim Kardashian to Heidi Klum toBritney Spears.

But recreating your own version of the star-studded soiree at home is easier than you might think.

Lod Angeles-based chef Wayne Elias–who, along with his crew at Crumble Catering and celebrity chef Gordon Ramsey will put together the plentiful feast at the party–shared some of the special bites they will serve and his rule of thumb for cooking up a good time.

 “Easy-to-eat is a key ingredient in everything that should be served,” Elias told ABC News. “Nothing messy or overly complicated with too many sauces–we just want the highest quality, with often locally sourced and organic ingredients to delight the palate.”

Elton John sure knows how to throw a party!

The newlywed singer is once again hosting his much-anticipated Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party, and it’s sure to be another stunning soiree. The event — which has welcomed guests such as Kim KardashianVictoria BeckhamTaylor Swift, and Britney Spears — is being catered for the eleventh straight year by Chef Wayne Elias, co-owner ofCrumble Catering.

Held at the West Hollywood Park, Chef Elias’s passed hors d’oeuvres and desert menu will be served in collaboration with the dinner menu, which is being designed by Chef Gordon Ramsay.

“We’re doing a five-course dinner for a thousand people,” Elias told PEOPLE at the 2015 Elton John AIDS Foundation Academy Awards Viewing Party Media Preview Day on February 19. With a menu that includes vegan cauliflower curry soup, rosemary crusted filet mignon with scallop truffled potatoes and for dessert, a meringue shell stuffed with the strawberries with a ring of the whip cream, the chef has a lot on his plate.

Here’s Who We Spotted Out And About In The Last 24 Hours

To celebrate the grand-opening of Flaming Saddles www.flamingsaddles.com  , co-owners Chris Barnes & Jacqui Squatriglia stopped for a photo with openly gay country star, Billy Gillman. The  celebration benefited the vital work the Los Angeles LGBT Center has provided for forty-five years, along with Ronnie Kroell’s Friend Movement, which connects conscientious organizations and caring people. Gillman tells Radar,“We have a gay country western bar that is filled with country western fans and it’s about time Nashville realized it that the people buying their records are in fact the LGBT community and it’s time to open up and open up to the gay artists.”
