The Young and the Restless’ Max Ehrich (ex-Fenmore Baldwin) shines in The Last Breakfast Club, a stage parody of the 1980’s hit film The Breakfast Club.

“The brain, the athlete, the basket case, the princess, and the criminal are still stuck in that damn library!” — so says the intro for The Last Breakfast Club, a stage production starring The Young and the Restless’ Max Ehrich (ex-Fenmore Baldwin) that is currently running through the end of summer at Rockwell Table and Stage in Los Feliz, California.

Rockwell Table & Stage has always been known for their musical parodies of beloved films like “Mean Girls” and “Troop Beverly Hills” and now with The Fuse Project they’ve upped the ante even further. The first in a (for sure to be) long line of mash-ups, “The Last Breakfast Club” takes an iconic coming-of-age film and mixes it with the nuclear apocalyptic zombie setting to create the most unusual and imaginative amalgamation of pop culture you’ve ever seen.

The Colorado Music Hall of Fame will host its next induction concert honoring Dan FogelbergJoe Walsh & Barnstorm and James William Guercio’s Caribou Ranch on Sunday, August 13, 6:30 p.m. at Fiddler’s Green Amphitheater.

The event, “The Rocky Mountain Way,” features performances from Garth BrooksAmy Grant & Vince Gill, the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, Richie Furay, Randy Owen of Alabama, Todd Park Mohr, Michael Martin Murphey and surprise guests paying tribute to the late Dan Fogelberg and Caribou Ranch, the legendary recording studio. The classic Colorado lineup of Barnstorm-Joe Walsh, Kenny Passarelli and Joe Vitale-reunites to perform, and famed music producer Bill Szymczyk receives a CMHOF Award of Excellence.

Kate Pazakis just keeps topping herself with her musical parodies! This time she teams up with Bradley Bredeweg and his Fuse Project for a wildly entertaining THE LAST BREAKFAST CLUB. Co-writers and co-producers Bredeweg and Pazakis have collaborated before in audience-rousing musicals. In THE LAST BREAKFAST CLUB, they ingeniously take the “Musical Parody of” concept and ‘fuse’ a mash-up of John Hughes‘ classic film The Breakfast Club with other cinematic cult favorites. The pop song choices are simply genius as they each move the plot along, feeling as if they were actually written as part of THE LAST BREAKFAST CLUB‘ soundtrack.
