BROADWAY WORLD: This Holiday Rockwell Table & Stage Brings to Life the Fuse Project’s Presentation Of EDWARD SCISSORHANDS

Broadway World News Desk | November 12, 2018

The Fuse Project and Rockwell Table & Stage are proud to present a one of a kind musical parody of the whimsical Tim Burton film classic “Edward Scissorhands” this holiday season running 8pm Friday and Saturday nights with a Sunday 12 noon brunch at Rockwell December 7 thru Janruary 5, 2019.

Join the world that is Edward Scissorhands and step back to the year 1990 in America, as Rockwell recalls this romantic, dark fantasy film from the macabre imagination of Tim Burton, which starred Johnny Depp as an artificial man named Edward, an unfinished creation who has scissor blades instead of hands. The film’s young man is taken in by a suburban family and falls in love with their teenage daughter Kim, played by Winona Ryder. The film’s all-star cast included Dianne Wiest, Anthony Michael Hall, Alan Arkin, and the late Vincent Price.

MEAWW: Hollywood’s Rockwell Table & Stage brings music and laughter to ‘The Unauthorized Musical Parody of Stranger Things

Sam Davidson | November 9, 2018

Hollywood’s The Rockwell Table & Stage is known for their series of unauthorized musicals that are based on beloved franchises and films like ‘Clueless’, ‘Hocus Pocus’, ‘Home Alone’, ‘Mean Girls’, ‘Bridesmaids’, ‘Jurassic Park’ and now ‘Stranger Things’. Writer Kate Pazakis and director Nathan Moore are behind this inventive take on storytelling. Pazakis is thrilled to turn one of her favorite series into an epically hilarious musical.

“I love ‘Stranger Things’, I love Halloween, I love horror movies and TV shows and ‘Stranger Things’ is, of course, perfect for Halloween and here we are in the fall season so I thought it would be a great idea.”

Pazakis takes the Duffer Brothers’ masterpiece and turns it into a musical love letter to the 80s, something that actress Lana McKissack, who plays the role of Millie Bobby Brown’s ‘Eleven’ in the musical, loves about the show.
