Angela got her start in racing at the age of 9 racing go-karts, winning local poles and races. At 15, Angela stepped into late-model race cars, before she even got her driver’s license. In ‘95 she finished 1st in the Tri-cities Gold Cup “Yamaha Class”, then in ‘98 became the PSGKA Gold Cup winner in the “Junior Piston Port”. Angela went on to win 1st place in 2002 at the Lucas Oil Can-Am 150 at Sun Valley Speedway. In 2008, she qualified for the ARCA Re/Max Series at Kentucky Speedway. Angela formerly competed part-time in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series, driving the No. 8 Chevy Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports. Recently, on March 23, 2019, Angela announced a new 12 race deal with Niece Motorsports, piloting the No. 44 Chevrolet Silverado. I had the pleasure to interview Angela Martini. Angela was born in Shkodër, Albania, but moved to Switzerland at the age of 10 before transplanting to the States. At 18 Angela signed with major modeling agencies, NEXT and Elite, walking in NYFW shows and landing herself in the 2008 edition of Sports Illustrated. Flash forward to 2010 where Angela competed in the Trump’s Miss Universe Pageant in Las Vegas, NV. And wound up placing sixth, missing the top 5 by fractions of a point. She currently holds the record for highest placing contestant representing Albania in the Pageant. Currently Angela is expanding her reach in the beauty & lifestyle space as an influencer, and is set to debut as a published author.

For the latest entry in the popular UMPO (Unauthorized Musical Parody Of) series at Rockwell Table & Stage, creator, writer, and executive producer Kate Pazakis has taken on 10 Things I Hate About You, the fan-favorite 1990s rom-com starring Julia Stiles and Heath Ledger. And I promise you’ll be more than just “whelmed” by this hilarious show. It seems with each production, the UMPO series is zeroing in more and more on what works for this format, and with sharper jokes than ever, this is maybe their strongest show yet.
